| Test: | A single breathing test will be performed and repeated to show consistency of results. The function of the lungs will be measured by breathing out forcefully through a mouthpiece into a recording device. |
| Length of Time: | Approximately 10 minutes. |
| Preparation: | Do not take inhalers for 4-6 hours prior to scheduled appointment unless symptoms warrant usage or otherwise instructed by physician. Refrain from eating a large meal at least one hour prior to tests. Refrain from smoking at least one-hour prior to test. |
